Pre-Kindergarten is available for qualifying four-year-olds, on our Treetops School campus. Treetop’s goal is to ensure students are more than prepared when they enter Kindergarten.

State-Based Pre-K:

State-Based Pre-K is a free, full-day program for Treetops School students who are 4 years old by September 1st and meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Unable to speak and comprehend English
• Is educationally disadvantaged (eligible for the national school lunch program)
• Is homeless (as defined by federal law)
• Currently or previously in foster care
• Has a parent or guardian who:
  • is active-duty military
  • was injured or killed while serving in active-duty military
  • is a recipient of the Star of Texas Award
  • is employed as a classroom teacher at Treetops School International

• The Pre-K Program will follow the Treetops School International calendar. 
  • School day hours are 7:45 a.m.- 3:05 p.m., with drop-off as early as 7:30 a.m.
• Treetops School After School Care Program
  • (3:05–6:00pm) available on campus, at extra charge. (817-283-1771)
• Breakfast and lunch available at extra charge or a child may bring sack lunch from home.
• No District transportation is provided
  
  

Tuition-Based Pre-K:
Tuition-Based Pre-K is a full-day program for Treetops School students who are 4 years old by September 1st.

• Families need to live within Treetops School boundaries to enroll a child in the tuition-based program.  
• Placement will be determined by the completion of online registration, a tuition-based interest form, and availability.
• First month's tuition payment ($750) is required upon acceptance into the program to reserve the student's spot.
• The $7,500 annual tuition is payable based on the current calendar school days, regardless of the number of school days of service in any particular month. A monthly payment schedule is available. Prompt tuition payment is required each month to maintain your child's placement.

Immunizations Required for 4-year-olds (Pre-K):

• 4 doses of DPT/DTaP/DT/TdaP/Td
• 3 doses Polio
• 1 dose MMR received on or after the 1st birthday*
• 3 doses Hib (one of which must be on or after 12 months) or 1 dose Hib after 15 months of age
• 2 doses Hepatitis A received on or after 1st birthday*
• 3 doses Hepatitis B
• Pneumococcal Conjugate (Prevnar, PCV7) - 3 doses given with one dose given after the age of 12 months, or 2 doses if given between 12-24 months, or 1 dose if given after 24 months
• 1 dose Varicella on or after the first birthday (if child has not had chickenpox) *

* Doses given up to (and including) 4 days before the birthday will meet the requirements for school entry.

**If any combination of four doses of OPV and IPV was received before four years of age, no additional dose is required.

Exclusions from compliance are allowable on an individual basis as specified in Texas Education Code 2.09, Chapter 97.

Application Process:

Treetops School is an Open Enrollment Public Charter School and uses a lottery system for our Tuition-based Pre-K program.

• April 1, 2026: Complete online registration. Choose "Tuition-Based Pre-K Interested."            
• April 7-10, 2026: Pre-K Tuition-Based Interest form will be sent to families who have completed the enrollment portion of registration. 
• Monday, April 20, 2026: Tuition-Based seats will be offered to families upon availability. You will be able to accept or decline the offer by email.
