Treetops High School Graduation Requirements The above requirements are for 9th graders beginning 07-08 school year and hereafter. All 10th, 11th and 12th graders of the 07-08 school year have 1 less math credit and 1 less science credit than shown above. In addition to credit requirements, students must show mastery on the state EXIT LEVEL TAKS or TAKS-M or TAKS-Alt. AP Classes for NON-Distinguished Grads- If recommmended, students are welcome to take AP classes even if they are not planning to take all AP classes or working towards a Distinguished Graduation Plan. *Treetops Distinguished graduation plan- Mandates 1 extra credit than state required adding AP Government as a requirement. Grade Point Average: A student’s grade point average is determined by all grade points accumulated from courses taken for high school credit. In order to graduate with a distinguished diploma, students must accomplish to 4 sections of the following: 1. a semester average of 3.0 or better in AP Biology for both semesters 2. a semester average of 3.0 or better in AP English for both semesters 3. a semester average of 3.0 or better in AP Government for both semesters 4. a score of 3 or better on College Board Advanced Placement Examination in AP Biology 5. a score of 3 or better on College Board Advanced Placement Examination in AP English 6. a score of 3 or better on College Board Advanced Placement Examination in AP Government.
