State Vaccine Requirements 2009-2010

    Below is the link for 2009-2010 Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for Students. The 2 new requirements are for students entering KG to have a 2nd Hep A shot and students entering 7th grade to have a Meningococcal (Meningitis) shot. 
    Students must be up to date on their immunizations BEFORE school starts.

Summer Hours and Tours

The campus will be closed to parents and students the months of July(except for TAKS retakers) and August (except for parent orientation/meet the teacher nights).

If you are a prospective parent and would like to tour the school BEFORE putting your child on the waiting list, please come on one of these days in June. If your child has already been chosen in the lottery, please wait until your student's parent orientation/meet the teacher night to tour the campus.

  • Thursday, June 4th between the hours of 9am-11am
  • Thursday, June 11th between the hours of 9am-11am
  • Thursday, June 18th between the hours of 9am-11am
  • Thursday, June 25th between the hours of 9am-11am

From Summer to the 2009-2010 School Year
  • June 1st-June 26th - High School Summer School.
  • June 2nd - Testing for incoming students coming from homeschooling or private schooling.
  • Tuesday, June 30th - Grades 5th and 8th Math TAKS Retest
  • Wednesday, July 1st - Grades 3rd,5th and 8th Reading TAKS Retest
  • Tuesday, July 14th - Exit Level English Language Arts TAKS Retest
  • Wednesday, July 15th - Exit Level Math TAKS Retest
  • Thursday, July 16th - Exit Level Science TAKS retest
  • Friday, July 17th - Exit Level Social Studies TAKS retest 
  • Thursday, August 13th - 9th-12th grades Parent Orientation/Student Meet the Teacher 7pm-8pm in the gym
  • Monday, August 17th - KG Parent Orientation/Student Meet the Teacher 7pm-8pm in the gym
  • Tuesday, August 18th - 1st/2nd/3rd grade Parent Orientation/Student Meet the Teacher 7pm-8pm in the gym
  • Wednesday, August 19th - 4th/5th/6th grade Parent Orientation/Student Meet the Teacher 7pm-8pm in the gym
  • Thursday, August 20th - 7th/8th gradeParent Orientation/Student Meet the Teacher 7pm-8pm in the gym
  • Monday, August 24th - 1st day of school!
